Elaina Schroeder
Coaching Director
Elaina Schroeder, MS is Learning to Excel Long Island’s resident expert on executive function coaching. Elaina was formerly a mental health counselor and has over 15 years of successful and dedicated experience developing programs, executive functioning coursework, and student specific curricula to guarantee the success of the kids and adults she works with.
She provides executive function coaching for kids and adults from a growth mindset perspective. Elaina is currently the Director of the Learning Strategies Program at Portledge School in Locust Valley, NY, where she works one-on-one with students to help them identify their executive functioning strengths and weaknesses and apply strategies to help them succeed. She works with clients mainly virtually, but also provides in-home coaching to families in the North Shore, Long Island area.
With her direct yet supportive, compassionate, and humorous approach, Elaina is a true executive function master coach.
Luisa Wu
Cultural Broker
Luisa Wu, BA is our in-house translator for Learning to Excel Long Island’s international families. Luisa came to the US from Taiwan in 2002, after ten years experience working in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taipei in international business and journalism.
For the past 12 years, Luisa has been working at Portledge School in Locust Valley, NY as the International Program Coordinator.
Luisa oversees the admissions, development, and advising for all International students. She also teaches in the International Baccalaureate Program for Mandarin. Luisa is widely adored for her sharp wit, kind heart, and bubbly spirit.
